Curing Bladder Coating | DBC-805
Curing Bladder Coatings is used on the surface of bladder and protect the bladder. To prolong the usage by more than 25%
Specialties:
Curing bladder Coatings is a waterborne product; the main ingredient is a polysiloxane. The product has a thermal cross-linking feature, which can be formed on the bladder surface protective layer tightly under heat conditions and firmly attached to the bladder surface, do not fall off. Because the product has a good lubricity, which will help sliding the bladder in the womb, reducing the tendency of the bladder thermal aging, delaying the bladder surface cracks, improve bladder frequency of use.

DBC-805 | Tire Curing Bladder Coatings
Next-Generation Water-based Release System, Maximizes releases per Application
DBC-805 is a high-performance, high cross-linking water-based release system specifically designed to be the most advanced Tire Curing Bladder Coatings available. Utilization of a highly advanced polymeric backbone, this coating binds tenaciously to surfaces yielding a highly durable coating with excellent surface slip, ease of release and protection of the bladder surface. Part of a new generation of reactive polysiloxane chemistry, DBC-805 promotes highly efficient bladder release, providing better air evacuation promotion, smoother slip for improved bladder centering and durable release performance, all with the use of lower quantities of the release product. Its also helps eliminate the start-up difficulties often associated with new bladders, and works to reduce defect levels throughout the life of the bladder. Application can be to the green tire or directly to the bladder. Benefits of this product include:
- Exceptional release ease and friction reduction
- Multi-release from a single application
- No fillers; Optimized coating weight
- Increased bladder life
- Improves quality and consistency of rubber parts
- Minimized buildup and fouling
Application methods:
Easy to operate, can be sprayed and painted.
Brushing on the surface of bladder, it is recommended to place 20 minutes at a temperature higher than 120 ℃ conditions or placed in more than two hours at 50 ℃. The time bladder to be installed, it should be used a squeegee over again and can be installed tire vulcanization after the dry.
Recommended Application Procedure:
- The application surface should be clean and contaminate free. Ideal application is it to a warmed surface to accelerate the dry and curing time.
- DBC-805 can be applied by wiping, brushing or spray equipment that can produce fine customization and deposit a uniform, thin film.
Note: New bladders should be treated with 2 coats with a full cure between each coat. Uniform, even application is critical.
- Cure Method: Cure times vary with application thickness and temperature. The curing process is dramatically accelerated with the application of any heating above 50 °C. Cure times above 50 °C require approximately 20-30 minutes. Temperatures below 50°C are non-ideal.
- When the product is applied to a green tire, transfer will occur, applying a coating to the bladder surface.

DBC-805: Surface Protection, Optimized Slip, Faster Start-ups
Our tire curing bladder coatings protect the working surface of the curing bladder against chemical and abrasion attack during its service life. Protecting the bladder against the high level of abrasion that occurs in the region it comes into contact with the tire’s bead areas significantly improves its service life. Its also act as a barrier to help slow down the ingress of sulfur and other compounding ingredients from the hard chafer compound – which leads to hardening of the curing bladder. Providing a barrier to the ingress of these materials helps to further increase bladder life by reducing bladder cracks in the vent lines – a typical cause of early bladder failure. Depending on the bladder type, curing press type and fit to the inside of the tires being cured, customers report significant increases in bladder life after switching to DBC-805 in average bladder-life of up to 45% when using these coatings.
